Good Faith Responses to Bad Faith Arguments about Classroom Race Conversations
This session encourages teachers to think of ways to respond authentically and deliberately to arguments that various bad actors make to discourage the practice of leading race conversations in the elementary classroom. We will unpack and prepare responses to three separate arguments. In the second part of the session, Jen will lead a model conversation about a children’s book - and teachers will practice designing their own conversation about the same text.
